The Fluff Cowl is a stockinette column knit in the round with a garter border on either end. It’s knit with one strand of FDF Oh Dang! and one strand of FDF Spinster’s Daughter Sport held together to create a soft, fluffy fabric with some structure to it.
The Lace Cowl is a lace panel which begins with a provisional crochet cast, is knit flat and then joined to the beginning with a three-needle bind off (suggested video tutorials provided). It’s knit with FDF Spinster’s Daughter Sport, which creates a very bouncy lace with excellent definition.
Pattern has been professional tech edited.
Lace has written and charted directions.
SIZES
1 size – finished cowls are approximately 12” tall with a 22” circumference
YARN
3 skeins total*:
- 1 skein - Oh Dang! By The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers
- 1 skein Main color - Spinster’s Daughter Sport by The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers
- 1 skein Contrast color – Spinster’s Daughter Sport by The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers
* Based on test knitting, you will likely use about 60% of the Oh Dang! and 75% of each of the Spinster's Sport colors, making this a good pattern for sweater leftovers - BUT keep in mind that your mileage will vary and a little yardage padding will make sure you don't run out halfway through the bind off.
